Cando Connect

Cando is a national Aboriginal organization involved in community economic development. Cando builds capacity which strengthens Aboriginal economies by providing programs and services to Economic Development Officers.

As a member-driven organization, Cando has to track and maintain a lot of information as it pertains to its membership and other organizational stakeholders. We custom-built a database that allows Cando staff to collaborate on the same set of data through this secure web-based tool. Because of the collaborative nature of the web, we were able to open subsets of the data to allow current and past members to login to maintain their own membership information and register for conferences. This reduces administrative load on Cando staff as much of the process is automated. 

Since the original build and launch Cando has expanded the capabilities of the software to allow self-service online payment for conference and membership registrations and have added additional features that allow additional tracking for its economic development certifications.
