First Nations Technology Council

The mandate of the First Nations Technology Council is to “ensure that all 203 First Nations communities in BC have access to the Internet and the capacity to utilize digital technologies to the fullest potential.” This team works tirelessly towards its mandate by hosting or introducing technical training programs, creating opportunities for Indigenous people in BC to learn about technology and providing resources for everyone.

Animikii worked with FNTC to develop a new site for the organization that would better represent its identity as an “enterprising non-profit” organization. The FNTC site highlights the organization’s important programs like Knowledge Network and Bridging to Technology. One of the unique features of the site is the video banner that runs across the top of most website pages.

Testimonial:

"Animikii is an exemplar of Indigenous innovation in the digital space. When we started planning for our own website redesign we knew we wanted to work with the Animikii team to create something powerful, intuitive and representative of our work and company culture. The team at Animikii allowed us to achieve our goal, on budget, and we had a lot of fun along the way. Dakota made our vision for the site a reality by custom building the beautiful layout and he has a real talent for creating unique solutions to presenting a lot of content in an interesting way. Jordyn made sure not a single detail or request was missed while keeping the project moving on a tight schedule. We are so happy with the amazing website that has been developed for us and the platform YikeSite makes it incredibly easy for our team to keep the site updated. We look forward to working with Jeff and the entire Animikii team on many more projects!" Denise Williams, Executive Director, FNTC
